I\u2019ve written about sustainable architecture, Edmonton\u2019s unique sports equipment bank, a rescued drughouse mural and a young man who cannot work but loves to \u201cdo lunch.\u201d As well, I\u2019ve contributed shorter bits to books exploring such top-drawer topics as Lois Hole, Edmonton and Alberta.<\/p>\n
With Josee Uwamahoro, a survivor of the Rwanda genocide, I\u2019m embarking on an exploration of her journey \u201cup from the prison of hate,\u201d supported by a grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.<\/p>\n
I am also slowly investigating Alberta\u2019s early women architects in hope of capturing their stories in a book. After numerous stalls, I\u2019ve begun to call that my retirement project.<\/p>\n
